My avatar is a racist that thinks Black people were cursed like Uncle Rukus in the interesting animation "Bondocks". If this offends anyone, I am truly sorry but my Avatar strongly thinks Blacks are cursed. Seriously, if you look around the world, you would notice that anything the white man touches turns to gold or wherever they dwell seems like paradise on earth. A typical example is South Africa, I seldom ponder "maybe if our British colonial masters never left, Nigeria would have been better". I know they would steal from us but it is not as worse as Nigerians stealing from Nigeria. The situation in this country ruins dreams and if you are not strong, you would give up. Even if a white man would steal from his own economy, I am positive that he would make social welfare increase and this is a FACT. I am proud to be black, don't get me wrong but my avatar thinks White folks are just blessed with organisation, innovation and intelligence. xoxo, lamide....
Fuel subsidy and Nigerians...You want to know what I think? Well, I know this, it is going to make 2012 hard for Nigerians. I don't care how they paint it, they say the removal of fuel subsidy will bring benefits. What kind? increase in the prices of goods and services because petroleum is directly or indirectly related to every sector in the economy. I thought Goodluck was suppose to deliever us and take us to the land of milk and honey. Goodluck seems to be bringing us badluck. They say if you talk about Nigeria's issues, you would get a migraine. The government should just have mercy on the masses and for once be selfless. The middle class are not in the christmas mood. Why? they say "the economy is not smiling at them at all". I just ponder how the poor fellows are faring in this holiday season. If you are removing fuel subsidy, are you increasing the salary of workers? I am beginning to lose faith in this nation. It seems like being stagnant is something the leaders want for the country because their pockets are never dry. The positive people in this country just keep believing. My sister is already planning not to return to this country after her masters. I don't blame her, she's just another citizen that is slowly loosing her faith. God save Nigeria. xoxo, lamide...

Style tips for weddings
Everyone wants to look elegant at wedding ceremonies, especially the ladies who feel they might meet Prince charming at the occassion.
There are two colours of clothing you must never wear-Black and white. You must avoid black because it's a depressing colour for such occassion and you must avoid white because the Bride is already wearing white and you don't want to be tagged an attention thief...lol. Wear bright colours and spice it up with heels. If you despise heels and want something flat and comfortable, wear flat smart shoes. Be warned, never wear a pair of sandals to a wedding. It's too casual.

Ankara evolution.
Ankara is timeless and keeps evolving. Its value has increased due to international demand.
My favourite African print is Daviva because it's colourful, beautiful and trendy.
it can be casual, sophisticated or chic depending on the designer. Flaunt your Ankara because it's your African pride. xoxo...Lamide.

Our story book
A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THINK THEY HAVE ENOUGH THAT CAN CATER FOR THEM AND THEIR NEXT GENERATION, EVEN TO THE EIGHTH GENERATION. DO YOU THINK THEY ARE LUCKY? YEAH! I THINK SO BUT I AM NOT REALLY SURE ABOUT MY ANSWER. DO YOU THINK EVERYONE IN OUR LARGE STORY BOOK HAVE ALL THEIR WANTS OR ENOUGH TO SEE THEM THROUGH THE END OF THE STORY? JUST INCASE YOU DON’T KNOW, THE LARGE STORY IS THE WORLD. EVER WONDER WHY THE STORIES IN IT NEVER CHANGE, I MEAN YOU KEEP READING IT BUT THE SAME STORY ALWAYS COMES UP.
ON PAGE 1914 IS THE STORY OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR, I FELT SAD WHEN I READ THIS STORY AND WONDERED WHY THE WORLD SHOULD GO TO WAR. THIS WAR RESULTED TO LOSS OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES, IT BROUGHT HUNGER AND FAMINE. GUESS YOU HAVE READ PAGE 1939, WELL! IF YOU ARE YET TO READ IT, I WILL GIVE YOU A HINT. PAGE 1939 ATELLS US ABOUT THE SECOND WORLD WARR. I KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR MIND. YOU JUST SAID “NOT AGAIN” BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT I SAID WHEN I READ IT. ON PAGE 1970, ANOTHER WAR BUT THIS TIME IT AAHAPPENS INOUR MOTHERLAND, IT IS CALLED “THE NIGERIAN CIVIL WAR”. GUESS WHAT YOU SAID “THANK GOD, I WAS STILL IN HEAVEN” BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT I SAID WHEN I READ. ON PAGE 1989 TO 1996, YOU CAN READ ABOUT LIBERIA WAR. PAGE 2001 TELLS US ABOUT THE ATTACK ON THE WORLD TRADE CENTER AND PENTAGON. YOU CAN CALLIT WORLD WAR 3. PAGE 2003 TELLS US ABOUT IRAQ INVASION. SOMETIMES, I GET BORED READING THIS STORY BOOK. THE PLOT IS SO MIXED.
THERE IS THE STORY OF THE HAVE S AND HAVE NOTS. THE HAVES LIVE A LIFE OF LUXURY WHILE THE HAVE NOTS LIVE IN PENURY, THE HAVE NOTS STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET. SOME ARE INDUSTRIOUS AND PATIENT WHILE SOME ARE INDOLENT AND JUST WANT TO GET RICH BY ALL MEANS. THEY ARE CALLED “THE FAST AND FURIOUS”. THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE DEVIL TO BACK THEM UP. THE IDEA OF PROSTITUTION, ROBBERY AND FRAUD COMES UP. WE ALL KNOW THE END OF THIS KIND OF STORY, THEY MEET THEIR WATER LOO. THERE IS THE STORY OF LOVE AND HATE. PEOPLE LOVE AND PEOPLE HATE. I PREFER THE LOVE PART, NOT JUST INTIMACY BUT AN UNCONDITIONAL LOVE THAT IS UNIVERSAL. I WISH I CAN TEAR OUT THE PAGES THAT TALK ABOUT CHILD ABUSE, MURDER, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, BETRAYAL, AND BROKEN HEARTS. I COULD GO ON AND ON. LOVE CAN CONQUER ALL THESE SORROWS BUT UNTIL THE DEVIL IS DAMNED, HATRED WOULD ALWAYS COME BETWEEN LOVE AND HUMANS. I WISH I COULD TEAR OUT THE PAGES THAT TELLS THE STORYABOUT DEATH, DEPRESSION, DIVORCE, POVERTY, REJECTION, STARVATION, SUFFERING, SADNESS, VIOLENCE AND WAR BUT I CAN’T, WE CAN’T, ONLY GOD CAN. THE WORLD’S STORY WOULD BE GREAT WHEN WE CAN READ ABOUT LOVE, HAPPINESS, JOY, PEACE, HOPE, LONG SUFFERING, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE, EQUALITY, AND EVERLASTING LIFE. A LOT OF PEOPLE ‘S STORY BOOK WOULD BE DOG EARED BECAUSE THEY WOULD JUST WANT TO KEEP READING IT WITHOUT STOPPING.
NOW BACK TO MY QUESTION, DO YOU THINK EVERYONE IN OUR LARGE STORY BOOK HAVE ALL THEIR WANTS OR ENOUGH TO SEE THEM THROUGH THE END OF THE STORY? THE ANSWER IS “NO” SOME HAVE HAPPINESS BUT NOT JOY, SOME HAVE LOVE BUT IT IS NOT UNCONDITIONAL, SOME HAVE LIFE BUT IT IS NOT EVERLASTING. SOME NATIONS ARE DEVELOPED BUT WHEN A NATURAL DISASTER STRIKE, EVERYTHING THEY HAVE TAKEN YEARS TO BUILD GETS DESTROYED IN A TWINKLE OF AN EYE. EVEN WITH THEIR TECHNICAL KNOW HOW, THEY CAN’T AVOID IT AND SOME NATIONS ARE BLESSED NOT TO GO THROUGH NATURAL DISASTERS BUT THEY UNDERDEVELOPED. GUESS YOU WOULD AGREE WITH ME THAT THE PLOT OF OUR STORY BOOK IS BITTERSWEET. YOU DON’T HAVE TO FEEL BAD WHEN READING IT, JUST BE REST ASSURED THAT THE AUTHOR WHO STARTED WRITING THIS STORY BOOK, IS WRITING ANOTHER ONE AND THIS TIME, THE PLOT IS GOING TO BE INTERESTING, MAKING YOU EXHILARATED, SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO SAY “NOT AGAIN” WITH A GLUM FACE. IN OTHER WORDS, THERE IS FUTURE HOPE FOR ALL WHO TRUST AND BELIEVE IN THE AUTHOR-GOD.
