Fashion Focus: The Top 5 panties you should own.

Underwears are fashion pieces most ladies tend to ignore. A lot of women fail to understand that the wrong underwear affects the outward appearance of the most fabulous style of dressing.

If you think, it is okay for the linning of your panties to show when you are dressed up, this blog entry is for you.

We have different undergarments but today, I will be focusing on the one we call "Pants".

Did you know that different panties are good for different clothing choices and occasion? It’s good to have some variety in the types of panties in your underwear drawer to choose from. It’s easy to get stuck on a favorite style. Maybe this article can inspire you to try something new.


1. Briefs

One of the types of panties many of us have gotten away from is briefs. A lot of ladies don’t find them as fashionable as other panty types. But briefs do have their place. They’re a good choice when you’re on your period. They’re also a good choice if you’re recovering from a c-section or other abdominal surgery because they usually won’t hit your incision.


2. Thongs

Girls either love or hate thongs. It’s a panty that you usually have strong feelings for. Thongs are great for when you’re wearing something that you know will show panty lines. They’re an especially great choice when wearing polyester skirts or dresses since polyester tends to show panty lines quite easily. It’s good to have a pair or two of thong panties tucked back for those times even if it isn’t your favorite type.

3. Hipsters

Hipsters are a great alternative to choose in panties. They’ve really gained popularity in the last few years and for good reason. They fit well, especially if you have more of a pear body shape. They can be worn with a variety of clothing choices and aren’t bad about showing panty lines because the panties tend to cut a little lower on the bottom. They’re also incredibly comfortable.

4. Boy Shorts

Boy shorts are another relatively new choice in panties. They’ve become very popular because of their unique shape and fit. If you’re looking for something a little different in the panty department, try a pair of boy shorts. They’re also a good choice if panty lines tend to be an issue for you, because of the low cut on the upper leg. They’re great to wear with practically anything.

5. G-strings

G-strings are the thong’s even racier cousin. If you want to feel a little sexier, a G-string can do that for you. They have even less fabric than the thong and only cover the bare minimum. You’ll have no panty lines whatsoever with a G-string because the panty is practically not there. They aren’t a panty choice everyone loves but it’s one to try if you’re in the mood to be adventurous.

Fashion focus: The signature shoes for HER closet.

When it comes to fashion, I'm a huge fan of comfortable style, anything that doesn't make me feel at ease is bondage. We shouldn't be slaves to fashion, we have the right to dictate what we expect to feel when we wear any piece of fashionable item, either clothing or accessories. I'm a firm believer and advocate of "comfort".  

The cliche statement "Fashion is pain" was not meant for me and I don't agree with it. Fashion should be fun and interesting. When it comes to female accessories, we will all agree that shoes are seldom the most uncomfortable.

When it comes to shopping for shoes, ensure you buy the perfect size and heels. To make your wardrobe planning a little easier, I've zeroed in on the top 6 key styles of shoes every fashion forward lady should have in her closet.

Let's talk about Jesus Christ.

For a while, I've been dreaming about Judgement day. As a Christian, you are bound to hear this in one sermon or another. My dreams are not triggered by fear of the unknown. The truth is everyone would die one day and the Holy book doesn't lie, I believe in the words written in the bible. I believe it takes faith to believe the stories you read in the bible, else you would go through life wondering when all those events in the bible occurred? if Jesus is real? If He actually died to save the world? if He will come back someday to heal the world and take the saints? If you lack faith, your questions would never cease.
I had a dream last night. In this dream, I was moving from one church to another church, listening to pastors preach and showing people a picture of someone they assumed is Jesus Christ. Then a shiny ball of light followed me, the light said "I'm not the person in the pictures, I'm not the person in the bible or the person in the movies. I am the person who dwells inside of you. I am with you all day, all noon, all night and then I woke up. I feel the dream is a personal revelation.

The Bible teaches us about Jesus Christ, the Pastors do their best to help us understand the scriptures, movies illustrate His story, the church connects us all but it is all up to YOU. I recently told a neighbor that Christianity is a religion. If you don't want to emulate Christ, if you don't want all of the fruits of His spirit to dwell in you, then you are practicing a religion. I'm still growing, I yearn to have a perfect relationship with Him and I pray for His grace everyday.

Jesus Christ is not a religion. Being religious is not a criteria to make heaven, being religious is pure deception to oneself, being religious is probably a comic relief to God.

Galatians 6:7 says "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
Revelations 3: 16 says "So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit thee out of my mouth."

In conclusion, love Jesus Christ in your own way and worship Him in your own style. Have a personal relationship with Him and not the world.

Fashion Focus: The Royals- 5 times Kate Middleton dressed like the late Princess Diana

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of Kate Middleton's style. Her style is so elegant, demure , yet chic and classy at the same time. It doesn't matter if she is in a casual or formal outfit, she always look so flawless.

I can say the same for the late Princess Diana, her style was effortless and elegant too. She was just a breathe of fresh air and a beauty to behold.


Many believe Kate Middleton's late mother-in-law is her style muse. We 've seen Kate dress up in outfits which seems to be inspired by Princess Diana's style.

A little inspiration from a beautiful song "Yesterday was hard on all of us".

I am a sucker for songs that have good lyrics. I recently saw the movie "Selma", I liked the official sound track "Glory" by Common featuring John Legend but I absolutely loved "Yesterday was hard on all of us" by fink. When I read history, I feel terrible and ponder why such a thing had to happen. I've read about South Africa's history on Apartheid system and racial discrimination in Europe and America. The movie "Selma" just showed me a real illustration. In Nigeria, we are currently dealing with Boko Haram, it still seems like a movie to me, not because I don't feel it is real but because it's just difficult to imagine how a human being with a heart can feel so much hatred and derive joy from causing others sorrows. I pray it all ends soon.

I always wanted to visit all the states that make up Northern Nigeria, I visited some while in secondary school.  I enjoyed the song "Yesterday was hard on all of us" and I hope soon terrorism would be in the past and peace can be restored once again in our nation and continent.

Skin Care Focus: Dudu Osun (The wonder black soap).

While many of my mates had to deal with pimples and acnes in secondary school, I got to enjoy a clean, smooth and fresh face. I can clearly recall how one of my boarding house mates "Ramatu" would admire my face and tell me she wished she had my kind of skin. I felt I had escaped the horrible part of puberty.

The minute I was done with secondary school and I passed out, puberty kicked in, my face became the dwelling place for pimples and acnes. My face was secreting so much oil. I switched from one product to another but nothing seemed to be working for me.

One lovely holiday at Abuja, I walk into a pharmacy to get drugs for my knee caps (Don't ask me what's wrong with my knee caps), that's another tale for another day. The pharmacist keeps starring at my face and then asks "My dear, what product are you using to treat pimples?" I looked at her and said "nothing! I'm tired of being a skin product whore". She smiles and tells me she understands, she then recommends "To-To soap", a Nigerian soap produced with natural ingredients.

Toto soap was effective, it dealt with the pimples and acnes on my face but my face remained oily. After my short break at Abuja, I returned to Port Harcourt. To-To soap was not readily available in any super market or pharmacy. I went back to using my regular soap and using my facial cleanser daily.

A friend recommended Dudu Osun, I had doubts and wondered if Dudu Osun could solve my skin problems. I decided to do an online research and I was impressed by the results I saw. Even foreigners had nice feedbacks about this soap. Some Africa Americans even use it as shampoo for their natural hair. I just couldn't believe Dudu Osun was this good. I went to the nearest supermarket and bought one.
It's been one month since I started using it and the result is impressive.

 I no longer have to deal with pimples, the acnes on my face are steadily clearing and my face is no longer oily. I am so relieved that I don't have to powder my face every hour or wash my face repeatedly when I'm home. Dudu Osun is affordable, readily available across Nigeria and is effective. It's produced with natural ingredients also, so it maintains your natural skin tone. I am not a fan of anything that changes my natural skin colour, I love my skin tone just the way it is.

I normally don't blog about beauty or skin care products but this blog is primarily dedicated to my all-time experience as a fashion designer and a young lass. I know there are a lot of ladies out there who share similar skin issues. Give Dudu Osun a trial,  it works wonders if you are struggling with acne, pimples and oily skin.

Fashion Focus: Queen Daenerys Of Game Of Thrones

I have never been a fan of epic movies or series but Game of thrones came into the spotlight and caught my attention from the first episode of season one. I have followed the story one episode at a time and one season after the other and I simply cannot get over the action, intrigue and suspense. 

It's fiction but it relates so much to our own political era, it's a do or die affair in the game of politics just like it is in this thrilling series.

My favorite part of this series is the fashion, As a designer, there is so much styles that have inspired me. 

I'm always excited to see what my favorite characters are wearing when all the drama goes down. Medieval-inspired Gowns, fierce battlegear and a look or two from the Mother of Dragons.

Today's blog entry is dedicated to my 5 favorite styles of Queen Daenerys. She is my favourite character, her confidence, strength, determination and courage is inspiring.
